A montage of headlines from around the world, about the historical election of 2008. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Count four rows up from the last--short--line. Third and fourth from the right edge are the two local (from Puerto Rico) papers, giving a couple of inches to the President-elect and huge splashes to the local numbskulls.
Yes, I know local trumps global, but peer at the the other front pages for a couple of minutes, of newspapers that literally define their nations, and notice how they covered the news of some election "over there."
We on this island think the world ends at Our shores; so does Our sheep-poo media. The fact is, it doesn't, and on that fact alone, the world knows more than We do.
