This is like some kind of a sick joke.
Unfortunately, it isn't. My Special Friend just got back from a medical mission on the Dominican Republic/Haiti border and saw several vendors of mud cakes and "galletas" --cookies--prepared in the same way. The despair and suffering there are largely unknown, but it is tragically real.
